Life Was Calling – Merrymax

Posted on: April 3, 2010

Life was calling

We stood in the doorway
Of that dilapidated house
Half in and half out
Our walls falling at last.
I became a beggar as I tried
To make you stay
While you held out a hand
And asked me, only once, to go.
Life was calling
Yours to you, mine to me
Our paths were meant to cross, not merge
I am better for those moments
I wonder, are you?
