Sanctuary and Serenity

Husband – Merrymax

Posted on: April 3, 2010

I lie in our bed and listen to you breathe

A gentle, sweet motion that lulls me to sleep

In love, my soul has been restored

With gentle touches, you opened the door

You never asked more than I can give

Yet at the same time, you taught me to live.

Each day that passes brings deeper trust

Whether in comfortable silence or the day discussed

I once was cold, unable to share

By example and tenderness, you taught me to care

What a feeling to find that I can depend

Upon you my husband, my love, my friend.

~Written for my husband of 12 years, who is not a computer nut like me, but doesn’t mind that I am.
Merry Max!
